Saulat Mirza to be hanged on May 12

KARACHI: Former Muttahida Qaumi Movement hitman Saulat Mirza is set to be hanged on May 12 at Machh jail after an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) issued his fresh death warrants on Saturday.

Mirza was condemned to death for killing KESC Managing Director Shahid Hamid, his driver Ashraf Brohi, and security guard Khan Akbar in a July 1997 shooting.

In April 2014, he was transferred to Machh jail death cell after his mercy plea was rejected by Sindh High Court and President of Pakistan.

This was the third time that death warrant was issued againt Mirza.
