LAHORE: In an interesting development, Punjab government’s spokesman Zaeem Qadri on Thursday opposed the Protection of Women against Violence Bill passed by the provincial assembly, where his party enjoys a thumping majority.
The spokesman said that a resolution for the rights of men should also be tabled and passed in the assemblies.
He said that such laws would affect the domestic lives.
The remarks come a day after Punjab Assembly passed the bill protecting women’s rights in the country’s largest province. NML
