ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court will hear the corruption refrences against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, daughter Maryam, and son-in-law MNA Capt (retd) Safdar, Samaa reported on Tuesday.
Several Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders including Marriyum Aurangzeb, Talal Chaudhry, Ameer Muqam and Musaddik Malik have arrived at the court.
It should be mentioned here that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) have filed three corruption references in light of the Supreme Court’s July 28 ruling in the Panama Papers case.
The NAB court will hear the cases including the Al-Azizia Steel Mills, offshore companies including Flagship Investment Ltd, and London’s Avenfield properties.
In today’s proceedings, six more witnesses will get their statements recorded before the bench as three witnesses had already done so in the previous hearing on January 2.
Talking to media, the disgruntled Nawaz spoke his heart out against the judiciary over the ‘futile attempts’ to drag him in court cases.
